Seaside Haiku

Short-sighted postman

Baits his hook with laggy bands,

His lunch in parcels.

 

Gulls gonna get yer.

Don't hold your pasty so high,

Pasty-faced lubber!

 

The waves are crashing.

Monsters of the deep rise up

For Young's Ocean Pie.

 

The lifeboat's too late.

Mermaids choked by black seaweed

Glisten in moonlight.
