Just when you think
it can't possibly get any worse
you hear the last Trump
and the pantomime horseman
of the apocalypse
canters into view...


This kingdom
is full of scowling
howling
annoyingly noisome
eejits
and scumbags.

Maybe
'twas ever thus
but my tolerance
is not what it was.

This rock
is chock-a-block
with fascists
sexists
and sadists
trying to justify
their hatred;
totalitarian Tory propaganda:
pure evil
spilling
from a squillion Harolds,*
the most
irresponsible
ill-considered bile.

I'm going to my happy place.
I may be gone a while.
