Cigar-Shaped

 

I have followed the trail of Bigfoot
and his cousin Massivearse;
looked for the Loch Ness Monster Munch
and the Bermuda Rhubarb Triangle.

I have been privy
to unexplained toilet flushings
in Britain's most haunted Gents,
spontaneous combustion
and eerie voices through the vents.

I have seen cigar-shaped objects
flying from east to west;
the length of three football pitches,
more or less, I should guess.

I have met a horse that knows Morse code
and a cat that meows in Latin.
I've been let loose
on a talking mongoose
who sounds like Charley Patton.

The world of the paranormal -
so mysterious and unfathomable,
inexplicable and inscrutable

But the thing that I find most uncanny
is the fact that you still put up with me.
