La Chasse

The gurning fizzog of The Beast
appears in some bingo balls.

The Governess manifests
in a myriad of ways.
Her Zardoz head hovers
above the lysergic landscape

while The Dark Destroyer
struts up and down the foyer
(it's just another day at the office,
tha knows)

and The Sinnerman
serenades a bevy
of dinnerladies.
The lengths he goes to
for extra dumplings!

But my brain cannot be trained.
I know much less than I thought.
I grow weary of the chase
and allow myself to be caught.
