I'm sorry I can't come out tonight

I'm sorting my collection of tube socks
into:
        Formal wear (white tie and tube socks)
        Casual wear
        Lounge wear
        Fit for charity shoppe
        Fit for clothing banke
        Fit to be exhibits in the International Museum of Mummified Tube Socks

I have had to make a choice
between you and your scintillating repartee
and a drawer full of grotty
grey-white foot mittens

To be completely honest
It hasn't been a difficult decision
Make of that what you will
